When shutdowns began to happen across the country due to COVID-19, the team at Unforgettable Coatings knew it was an opportunity to truly live our core values of Trust, Gratitude, and Compassion. In part 4 of 4, we talk about what we learned and what the future holds for our company. How did this experience change us, and will there be a lasting impact?
This entire experience started when none of us knew how UCI would survive the pandemic. Despite the challenges of earning less and taking pay cuts, our entire team is thriving. Much of the reason why UCI has found success is because we come together as a team. To this day, we are working together to overcome struggles rather than taking a self-serving approach. We care more about our company and our community.
Our company continues to feel the long-term effects of providing service to our community throughout the pandemic. Our team knows and understands the importance of our mission and core values. It is important to focus on trust, gratitude, and compassion. These values work together to form a strong bond between our team and the community.
Cory Summerhays, owner of UCI, reflected on the lessons learned over the past few months, explaining that he was nervous about taking a unique strategy when COVID-19 hit. However, the risk paid off. It created a unity between our employees as we did good for people. UCI is more than just about roof coating systems and painting. It is about people and relationships.
